Sanjay Leela Bhansali is synonymous with grand frames and visuals that are breathtaking. His next film, Padmaavat, being hailed by critics as a painting on celluloid, releases worldwide today and promises to offer an extraordinary experience to the audience.

Inspired from the poem Padmaavat, written by Malik Muhammad Jayasi, the film pays tribute to the famed Rajput valour and culture with actors Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in lead roles.

The film, besides being a visual treat, takes the audience through an emotional journey of the characters.

Says Ajit Andhare, COO Viacom18 Motion Pictures, the production house backing the magnum opus, "Padmaavat is a very special film for us. It's a not-to-miss, breath-taking experience on the big screen created with passion and conviction. I am sure it will be remembered as a landmark film in Hindi cinema."

A source reveals, "The perfectionist that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is, he spent hours to set each frame right."

Talking about the film, Bhansali says, "It's been an extremely emotional and difficult journey and I'm proud to present the film Padmaavat to audiences across the world. The film glorifies Rajput honour and valour and portrays our rich, diverse and beautiful Indian culture to the rest of the world through cinema."

Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions', Padmaavat releases worldwide today in 2D, 3D and IMAX 3D.
