Dravid guided India to a win over West Indies with a ton in the second innings in the first Test at Kingston in 2011.

4. 180 v Australia, Eden Gardens, 2001
India were trailing by 274 in the first innings and Australia enforced the follow-on. Rahul Dravid walked in at No. 6 with India still trailing. He added a triple century partnership with VVS Laxman as India took the lead which batted Australia out of the game. Dravid’s 180 was a perfect supporting act to Laxman’s 281.

3. 270 v Pakistan, Rawalpindi, 2004
It was a decider at decider at Rawalpindi. Dravid walked in at 0/1 when Pakistan had scored 225. Dravid batted for two and half-days and scored a magnificent 270 which helped India win their maiden Test series in Pakistan.

2. 233 and 72* v Australia, Adelaide, 2003
Dravid was an architect of India’s famous win in Adelaide after 22 years. He scored a breathtaking 233 in the first innings. Australia collapsed in the second innings. Dravid guided India home with a measured unbeaten 72 which helped India take a lead.

1. 148 v England, Headingley, 2002
India batted first in the seaming conditions at Headingley. Sehwag was dismissed early. In walked Dravid and batted with supreme confidence as the ball was seaming prodigiously. Dravid’s 148 helped India have a solid foundation. The wicket eased out and India scored a total in excess of 600 and won the Test.
