'I wanted my photograph to play with the tension being close to potential dangerous but extremely beautiful animal,' said Henry. 'On the one hand you can enjoy the beauty of the jellyfish, but on the other hand it's very frightening, and I often get people asking me how I dare to go that close.'

Expedition 37 crew members aboard the International Space Station released Orbital Sciences' Cygnus spacecraft from the station's robotic arm on Tuesday. Orbital Sciences engineers then conducted a series of planned burns and maneuvers to move Cygnus toward a destructive re-entry in Earth's atmosphere. Cygnus had been attached to the space station's Harmony module for 23 days. The spacecraft delivered about 1,300 pounds of cargo, including food, clothing and student experiments, on a demonstration cargo resupply mission to the station. Cygnus was launched on Orbital's Antares rocket on September 18, 2013 from the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport Pad-0A at NASAs Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia

Amateur astronomer Ralph Smith photographed these close-ups of the sun from his garden. Ralph, from Deeral in Queensland, Australia, used off the shelf equipment to capture the detailed snaps. The results show huge bursts of flames - known as prominences - leaping from the Sun's surface. Others highlight giant sunspots - cooler areas on the Sun's photosphere - which are often larger in size than Earth itself.

Martin Truex Jr. is involved in an incident during the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Budweiser Duel 2 at the Daytona International Speedway. Truex, whose car was on fire when it approached the finish line, was not injured in the incident and managed to finish in eigth place. He will, however, have to (obviously) use his back-up car for the next race on Sunday.
