Ingredients :
  • Khoya - 100 g
  • Coconut (grated) - 1/2 cup
  • Dry fruits - 1/2 cup
  • Powdered Sugar - 1.5 cups
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
  • Nutmeg powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Paneer (grated) - 1/2 cup
  • Fragrant Rice powder - 2 cups
  • Oil - 1 cup
  • Milkmaid - 1 tin
  • A few Cherries and chopped Almonds




How to Make Gannu Modak :
  1. Put water and oil in a pan and boil.
  2. Add the rice powder and stir continuously.
  3. When the mixture becomes thick, let it cool.
  4. Mix the khoya, coconut, dry fruits, sugar, cardamom powder, nutmeg and paneer on medium heat, stirring continuously until the mixture is completely dry.
  5. Prepare 10 small balls with the rice mixture.
  6. Make a hollow in the centre of the balls and stuff in the khoya filling, giving the balls the shape of a ladoo.
  7. Heat oil in a pan and fry the balls until they become light brown.
  8. Put the modaks on a plate, pour Milkmaid and garnish with cherries and chopped almonds.
