Ingredients :
  • 1 cup samwat/parsai ke chawal, washed
  • 2 tbsp. Ghee
  • 1 tsp. Cumin seeds
  • 2 Cloves
  • 2 green Cardamoms
  • A small piece Cinnamon
  • 1 large potato, diced small
  • 2 tsp. Rock Salt
  • tsp. chilli powder
  • 3 cups water
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing


How to Make Aloo Ki Khichdi :
  1. Heat ghee, add cumin, cloves, cardamom and cinnamon. When slightly coloured, add potato and rice.
  2. Stir fry till they look a bit fried. Add salt, chilli powder and water, bring to a boil.
  3. Lower the flame and simmer, covered, for about 15 minutes or till coated through and the water is absorbed. Serve hot garnished with green coriander leaves.
