Ingredients :
  • 2 cups - Pasta
  • 1 tsp - sambar powder
  • 1 - Onion
  • 1 - Tomato
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup - mixed vegetables
  • 1 tbsp - oil
  • 1/4 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • A few - Curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp - pav bhaji masala


How to Make Indian Style Pasta - masala pasta :
  1. Cook the pasta according to the instructions and drain the water and keep aside.
  2. Slice the onions and finely chop the vegetables- like carrots, capsicum, corn kernels, green peas, broccoli, cauliflower and tomatoes.
  3. In a pan add oil and splutter the mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  4. Add in the sliced onions and when it turns pink add the tomatoes.
  5. Cook in a medium flame till the tomatoes are cooked.
  6. Add in the chopped vegetables and add the sambar powder, salt ( just for the vegetables), turmeric powder and the pavbhaji masala.
  7. Mix well and cook it for some time
  8. Add the cooked pasta to this. Before adding the pasta run the pasta in cold water in a colander.
  9. Mix well and cook in a low flame for 3-4 minutes.
  10. Serve hot.
