Come Tuesday, the cricketing world will witness MS Dhoni leading a team in India colours, for the one last time.
The double World Cup winning captain will lead the India A side against England at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Tuesday.
It's just not a warm-up match as preparations are at full swing with Brabourne gearing to host the match in parallel to an international match.
Dhoni will lead a side that includes the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Yuvraj singh, Hardik Pandya, and Ashish Nehra who were picked for the upcoming limited series against England.
The warm-up match gives Dhoni and veterans like Yuvraj Singh and Ashish Nehra a perfect chance to get into the groove.
The BCCI's official broadcaster, Star Sports on it's part has decided to live telecast the warm-up match.
“Preparations are in full swing. Dhoni is a legend and he could be playing his last match at the Brabourne Stadium on January 10. Gates are going to be free and we expect around 20.000 spectators for the match.” said Sachin Bajaj, executive committee member of the CCI to the media.
Dhoni, who relinquished captaincy last week passed on the baton to Virat Kohli.
The only captain to have won the three ICC trophies — the ICC Champions Trophy, 50-over World Cup and T20 World Cup, Dhoni will aim to get some runs under his belt ahead of the ODI series starting on January 15.
